11AM to 4PM Saturday
Plot springs from character in conflict. Develop an action, character, and thematic plot, and apply the universal structure of story for your own individual story. No project started? You'll be given everything you need.
11AM to 1PM Sunday
Fully integrate all aspects of plot to create unity in your project. Writers are invited to bring their scenes to be used as example.

7 hours
Intensive Historical fiction is set during a specific time in history.
Just as action, character development and theme play into the overall
pot of a novel, so can history. The trick is to keep these four threads
interwoven without the whole becoming a tangled mess. Participants will
learn about plot and then create a plotline for their own historical project
in class.
